NC Arboretum Wedding

One amazing aspect of having your wedding at the NC Arboretum is their goal of “green weddings.” This type fo wedding focuses on preserving the natural plants and wildlife while providing you with an amazing wedding experience. They offer various options for weddings that include full wedding package, elopement package, brunch package, ceremony only package, and reception only package. The sprawling property has three ceremony sites (Watershed Overlook, Education Center Veranda, OR Education Center Plaza) two receptions sites (Education Center Veranda OR Education Center Plaza) and two cocktail hour sites (Education Center Veranda OR Education Center Plaza). * Cocktail Sites are only available to clients who book a Full Wedding Package AND select an Alcohol Service Package with Cocktail Hour Add-On as outlined on pages 18-19.
As an Asheville Wedding photographer, the NC Arboretum has always been a place I love to visit and use as a location to photograph. You seriously can’t go wrong with having your wedding there. I have come up with my list of three reasons to have your garden wedding at the stunning NC Arboretum.
Location of the NC Arboretum
Within a few miles of downtown Asheville, the NC Arboretum is nestled in the blue ridge mountains. Getting to this venue is very easy. The Asheville Airport is just miles away. There is also hotels right outside Asheville in the Arden area. As far as location goes, the NC Arboretum is PERFECTION!
Landscaping of the NC Arboretum
No matter where you go, there is something gorgeous. The NC Arboretum boasts various wedding vistas that include gardens, fountains, and structures all surrounded by God’s amazing creation! A few of my favorite places to photograph there are the patchwork gardens (as seen above), the fountain area (as seen below) and under their tall trees by the fireplace area. There really is no wrong place for wedding photography at the NC Arboretum.
Lighting at the NC Arboretum
From sunlit kisses to strolls along the pathways that feel like you are stepping into a storybook, the NC Arboretum has some of the most gorgeous natural light! The way the sun light peeks through the trees and illuminates the portraits is something dreams are made of! I suggest to all of my couples considering the NC arboretum to do a later afternoon wedding, or early morning elopement. Those two times of day are when the light is the best and you will get the most out of your wedding photography at the NC Arboretum.
