In its early years, Homewood was the home of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Carroll, who hosted the likes of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Vanderbilts as Bela Bartok played Mrs. Carroll’s grand piano in the Great Room. Today, Homewood is a beautifully restored stone manor, hosting special events of all kinds. The elegant castle features original hardwood floors, cherry walls,  grand Appalachian stone fireplaces and alabaster sconces. Luminous wrought iron chandeliers cast graceful lighting from the 20-foot ceiling of the Great Room. 

Homewood is conveniently located less than a mile from downtown Asheville, This venue is in a neighborhood setting, with abundant parking and surrounded by lush grounds that provide additional outdoor space, including the gorgeous ceremony site in the garden adjacent to Homewood. 

The Great Room seats 110 for dinner, or up to 150 with cocktail seating, both with space for dance floor. You will be excited to know that Homewood has been refined with modern amenities and is fully handicap accessible, including elevator and ramps. 

Homewood wedding venue provides all of your rental items to include tables, chairs, linen, china, silverware and glassware, buffet and bar set-ups, and accent decor throughout the space. They work with a preferred list of caterers who will provide your food and service. They have an in-house beverage company that provides bar packages. They encourage you to work with the vendors of your choice for floral design, photography and music.

Although a pandemic tried to hinder their plans, this sweet couple kept a smile on their faces and didn’t let anything stop their celebration. Lesley & George exchanged their vows at the stunning Homewood Wedding Venue in Asheville, NC surrounded by their closest friends and family. 

Lesley’s family is from England, so Homewood Wedding Venue’s castle feel made us feel like we were there! From the floral-draped fireplace and the greenery cascading from the chandelier, to George’s bowtie and Lesley’s beautiful wedding gown, everything felt like a real-life fairy tale. Even when the weather was so unpredictable, this couple had smiles on their faces. They were just so excited to have their Asheville wedding!
