A wedding is the most special day in the life of a couple. It is the day the two become one and the beginning of a new chapter in their legacy of love!

Katherine and Jay were planning to have this special day in Hawaii, but Covid-19 had other plans. Their destination wedding wasn’t  a possibility with all the restrictions and risks so they planned to have a beautiful wedding here in the gorgeous mountains of Western NC.

As the time drew closer, the mandates and restrictions were not lifted so in a way to help with the safety of their family and friends, Katherine and Jay decided to move their wedding to their hometown of Atlanta Georgia and get married at the Atlanta botanical Gardens.

From the destination of Hawaii to the intimate setting in the botanical gardens, the Lord had a plan in place for this sweet couples wedding day.

While the Atlanta Botanical Gardens were a gorgeous setting for a wedding, this location had more of a meaning to the couple that one could imagine. A few feet from the ceremony location was a gorgeous fountain surrounded by benches. During the day I noticed several couples would come and sit and just take in the beauty. It was at one of those benches around the fountain where Jay and Katheirne had their first date and that exact place was where Jay said he knew Katherine was the love of his life.

Fast forward to December 2019 at the botanical gardens christmas lights where Jay got down on one knee to ask Katherine to be his wife. Jay told everyone this story as he raised a glass in a toast for many years of happiness together.

What some couples would think of as setbacks and discouragement, this sweet couple took with great understanding and compassion. The health of their family and friends was first and foremost on their minds. They were so selfless and caring for everyone involved, and that is something you don’t really see with most weddings these days.

One very sweet fact about these rings is these were Jay’s grandmothers rings. When he proposed to Katherine he put on her finger his grandmothers engagement ring and it fit like a glove. He made the set of rings complete when he put his grandmothers wedding band on Katherines hand as he said “I Do!”

Katherine and Jay, I want you two to know I was truly honored to be a part of such a special day in your life! From the sweet phone conversations during planning, the zoom calls where we talked about house renovating and how special family is to us both, you two were so kind and caring. You both made me feel loved and truly like a part of your family! I am so blessed to have connected with you two and made a friendship that will last forever! I look forward to seeing what all is in store for you both and hoping to see you guys soon on a visit up to the mountains.

Lots of love – Corey
